Every day, across rural villages, urban slums, refugee camps, and remote regions, small local organizations serve as lifelines feeding children, educating youth, providing shelter, and healing trauma.

These organizations may not be on the news or have major global donors behind them but they are trusted by the people they serve.

At Rise Fund Global, we recognize the deep power of grassroots institutions. Through our CBO, NGO, and Faith-Based Group Grant Program, we provide essential financial support to strengthen the frontlines of community transformation.

Why Local Matters

International aid has its place, but without local ownership and cultural relevance, it often falls short. Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), faith-based entities, and homegrown NGOs:

• Understand the context and language of the people
• Operate with fewer bureaucratic barriers
• Can adapt quickly in emergencies
• Have the trust of their communities

Yet they are the most underfunded segment in the global development chain.

Our Support Model

We provide flexible and accessible funding to eligible local organizations working in key impact areas such as:

• Poverty alleviation and humanitarian relief
• Education and vocational training
• Mental health and trauma support
• Gender equality and youth empowerment
• Food security, agriculture, and climate adaptation
• Peacebuilding and reconciliation

Grants may range from $5,000 to $50,000 USD, depending on registration status, project scale, and regional priority.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applications from:

• Registered or unregistered local organizations with a strong community presence
• Faith-led groups such as churches, mosques, temples, or religious missions
• Youth groups, women’s cooperatives, or indigenous networks
• Grassroots NGOs with at least 1 year of impact history

Preference is given to organizations that:

• Have not previously received major funding
• Are addressing urgent, underfunded issues
• Are led by members of the communities they serve

Beyond the Grant: Long-Term Collaboration

Selected organizations may benefit from:

• Capacity-building sessions
• Peer exchange with other CBOs
• Access to tools for fundraising and impact reporting
• Continued eligibility for growth-phase funding

Application Process

You can apply via our Organizational Grant Application Form. Required materials include:

• A concept note or proposal
• Organizational profile and leadership details
• Proof of local existence (registration or letter from a community leader)
• Budget, workplan, and impact framework

Once reviewed, shortlisted applicants will undergo basic verification and onboarding.
