The Problem with Traditional Funding
In many developing economies, local entrepreneurs are the true engine of growth yet they face the harshest financial roadblocks. Banks demand collateral they don’t have. Loans come with crippling interest rates. Grant schemes are often riddled with red tape or simply don’t exist.
This leaves thousands of hardworking people with promising ideas stuck in survival mode.
Our Solution: Targeted, Practical Support
The Rise Fund Global Entrepreneurial Grant is designed to support individuals and micro-enterprises with:
- Seed capital to launch a small business
- Expansion funding for existing informal businesses
- Asset purchases like equipment or stock
- Support for women-led and youth-led enterprises
- Business coaching and follow-up (in select regions)
Grants typically range between $10,000 and $250,000 depending on the nature and scale of the business idea.
Who Is This For?
We are looking for grassroots entrepreneurs who:
- Have a clear business idea or an already running venture
- Can show proof of impact or potential (even informal income)
- Are committed to ethical business practices and local employment
- Are unable to access traditional bank loans
Priority is given to applicants in low-income, post-conflict, or underserved regions, including women, refugees, single parents, and people with disabilities.
