Our Funding Areas & Eligibility

We are supporting Ambition, Restoring Stability, and Enabling Transformation Across the Global.

At Rise Fund Global, we are committed to identifying and supporting individuals, enterprises, and grassroots organizations whose work, needs, or aspirations reflect our core values: impact, inclusivity, innovation, and integrity.

Our funding programs span across multiple sectors and regions with a targeted focus on second and third-world countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and selected regions of the Middle East

General Eligibility Criteria

Applicants (individuals or organizations) must:

  • Reside in or serve populations within developing countries (priority regions: Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, selected Middle East regions)

  • Be 18 years or older (or represented by a guardian if underage)

  • Submit complete, valid and verifiable application data

  • Be reachable through digital channels (email, WhatsApp, or phone) during the grant cycle

  • Accept funding terms, including general follow-up, reporting, and publicity requirements

Application Timelines

We operate on a rolling basis with monthly review cycles. While applications are accepted at any time, only those submitted before the 20th of each month are reviewed for that month’s disbursement cycle.

  • Application Opens: Ongoing

  • Cut-off Date: 20th of each month

  • Shortlisting Notices Sent: 22nd–25th

  • Verification Period: 25th–28th

  • Grant Disbursement Window: 28th–30th

Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to re-apply with revised information in future cycles.

Shortlisting & Verification

All shortlisted applicants may be invited to complete a formal identity verification and onboarding process.
This may involve a modest, regionally-adjusted compliance step designed to support communication, secure applicant validation, and ensure procedural integrity.

Please note that this process is conducted only after formal shortlisting, and has no bearing on the funding decision itself. It exists to help uphold transparency, manage application security, and prevent fraudulent submissions — allowing us to serve genuine applicants better.

Entrepreneurs, Startups and Micro-Enterprise Grants

We fund early-stage and growth-oriented entrepreneurs operating within underserved economies. Our objective is to remove common financial barriers and help scale micro-enterprises that demonstrate the potential to improve livelihoods, generate employment, and contribute to inclusive development.

We support:

  • Informal and semi-formal small business ventures

  • Digital and service-based micro-enterprises

  • Agriculture and agri-processing initiatives

  • Female-led and youth-driven economic initiatives

  • Environmentally conscious enterprises (green or circular models)

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be directly involved in the proposed venture

  • Business must be legally permissible and operational in-country

  • Funding request should outline intended use and measurable outcomes

  • Priority is given to applicants with strong community integration or employment potential

Academic Scholarship & Research Grants

Education equity is central to our work. Rise Fund Global provides tuition support, resource subsidies, and academic development grants to individuals facing significant financial hardship in pursuing their formal education.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Secondary, University, tertiary, or technical/vocational students

  • Poverty-background or conflict-affected learners

  • Individuals enrolled in short-term professional development programs

  • Postgraduate students pursuing research with demonstrated impact value

Minimum application criteria:

  • Valid admission or enrolment documentation

  • Written statement of purpose and financial need

  • Academic or recommendation references

  • National or student identification as proof of status

Note: Education support grants may cover tuition, learning materials, examination fees, or registration costs.

Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), NGOs & Faith-Led Group Grants

We fund emerging, locally-anchored institutions that address key challenges such as poverty, inequality, education, food security, health access, and environmental degradation. These grants are designed to strengthen social systems and community infrastructure from the ground up.

Entities we support:

  • Community-based organizations (registered or informally structured)

  • Faith-led charities (churches, mosques, temples) engaged in non-profit service

  • Start-up NGOs with less than 5 years in operation

  • Youth clubs, cooperatives, or savings groups addressing SDG-aligned issues

Required documentation:

  • Proof of operations (registrations, endorsements, or partnership letters)

  • Concept note outlining project goals, methods, and intended beneficiaries

  • Operational bank or mobile money account (where applicable)

  • Capacity to monitor and report progress at a basic level

Note: Rise Fund Global does not fund recurring salaries or administrative costs. Grants must be tied to service delivery or tangible project components.

Individuals in Situational Crisis or Emergency Relief Need Grants

We recognize that conflict, natural disasters, and unexpected life events often destabilize individuals and families with little or no social safety net. As part of our humanitarian stream, Rise Fund Global offers responsive micro-relief grants to eligible individuals experiencing significant crisis.

Considered emergencies include:

  • Medical emergencies (including surgery, accidents, or childbirth complications)

  • Loss of livelihood due to war, displacement, or natural disaster

  • Temporary housing support (e.g., post-fire, flood, or eviction)

  • Bereavement and funeral cost assistance

  • Access to food or hygiene essentials during regional crises

Application requirements:

  • Verified incident documentation (e.g., medical reports, police statements, images)

  • Written explanation of the crisis and impact on the applicant’s livelihood

  • Endorsement or validation from a local authority (e.g., community leader, health worker)

  • Identity documents (passport, national ID, or equivalent)

Note: Emergency grants are typically short-term and limited in amount but issued promptly upon approval.
